Notice
This is the fifth work I’ve composed for the Accroche Note ensemble, with whom I’ve enjoyed collaborating for over ten years…
When humanity was nomadic, and the forest was not threatened (that is, a very long time ago, but today we see the last witnesses of this past dying), clearings were burned before being sown. Fire danced, destroying life in order to recreate it, like the god Shiva. These images sometimes circulated in the background of my imagination as I composed this trio for clarinet, cello and piano. Their simultaneously destructive and fertile energy flows through the five movements, where euphoria and doubt also alternate at times.
