Notice
Lèthè was commissioned by Automne de Varsovie, where it premiered on September 22, 1985. Like Styx, it is written for 2 pianos, 8 hands. It is part of the same piano cycle, and also bears the name of one of the rivers of the Greek Underworld, that of Oblivion. Lèthè is a meditation provoked by Poland, a subjective portrait of Poland, and a fervent homage to this country.
