LARGANDO(Opus 101)
May 20129'Musique vocale
Notice
Largando is a musical term meaning “widening”, i.e. not only slowing down the tempo, but also creating the sensation of a wider space. Here, a discourse chopped up by quasi-instrumental interjections is gradually transformed into a melodic flow, at the urging of the solo horn, as if by its example it were freeing the breath and amplifying the gesture.
This year, some thirty composers celebrated Nicole Corti’s choir in concerts in which several soloists combined their poetic colors with those of the choir and Florence Delay’s poems.
